REFLECTION CHAPTER 2 & 3 : COMPUTER ASSISTED LANGUAGE LEARNING (CALL) & COMPUTER MEDIATED COMMUNICATION (CMC)

Soooo, this week we learn about Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). From what we know in our Diploma time, CALL was something to do with Microsoft Power Point or pictures. But, in this subject we were exposed more on types of CALL programs such as
CALL- Specific Software
Soooo, this week we learn about Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). From what we know in our Diploma time, CALL was something to do with Microsoft Power Point or pictures. But, in this subject we were exposed more on types of CALL programs such as
CALL- Specific Software
- This application used to facilitate language learning.
- For example : Hanggaro ( we used to play that game long time ago and it was good to enhance our vocabulary)
Generic Software
- This type of CALL that we learn during our Diploma time when we used Microsoft Office like Powerpoint as material for our teaching.
Web-based Learning Software
- This apps that found on the internet co-opted for used as tools for language learning.
- Example for this software like the news website, encyclopedia and etc.
And also the last one is Computer Mediated Communication. This type of CALL were divided into 2 which is Asychronous (email,discussion, forum and etc..) and Synchronous (messages and online chat).
